Quiz Night: “A Wonderful Evening”
The Quiz Night on 11 April 2026 raised a total of £968 (after expenses were taken out) to support our work for homeless people in Bromley.
The evening started off with Vanessa, one of our runners in the London Marathon on 26 April, sharing why she is running for Bromley Homeless. We followed this with a special round on ‘Running’, aided by a jelly baby for everyone attending.
The main theme of the evening centred on the words GIVE and VOLUNTEERING, with rounds focusing on these words including songs with the word GIVE in the title. The Quiz ended with everyone singing along to ‘You Give a Little Love and it All Comes Back to You’.
The raffle was very successful with donations from friends and family, along with Nuffield, Millwall and Wagamama and Kernel (thanks Lulu). Sarah Whitelaw did a terrific job selling and folding raffle tickets aided by friends Barbara and Adèle.
And lastly, Angela Short spoke on behalf of Bromley Homeless about Giving and Volunteering, and several volunteers spoke of their experiences.
Those attending included a number of new people … who in turn have since publicised Bromley Homeless and its work, and have talked about their own plans of further fundraising for the Charity’s work for homeless people in Bromley.
A wonderful evening, wonderful crowd, and wonderful amount of money raised.
