Role Title: Volunteer Fundraising Event Coordinator(s)
Location: In-person events
Estimated Time Commitment: 7.5 hours per month (likely to include evening and weekends for events)
Role Overview:
As a volunteer member managing Fundraising Events, you’ll help plan and run events focused on raising funds to support Bromley Homeless and keep our services running. Supporting our Fundraising Committee both in advance and on the ground during delivery of these events.
Key Responsibilities:
- Attend Events and Fundraising Committee meetings (around every 8 weeks) – usually online.
- Help generate ideas for new and current fundraising events for Bromley Homeless, (past events include quiz nights, meals and of course our annual Sleepout event),
- Helping identify and arrange participation in events planned by other organisations
- Manage the planning and logistics involved with events
- Attend and support other BH events
- General fundraising promotion including corporate sponsors etc
- Help to deliver the Fundraising Strategy
Skills and experience required
- Previous experience of fundraising or event organising (of any kind, school PTA, work events, other charities etc) would be desirable.
- Enthusiasm and passion to support Bromley Homeless
- Team working and interpersonal skills
- Engaging with members of the public

- Help generate ideas for events and fundraising opportunities for Bromley Homeless, (past events include quiz nights, meals and of course our annual Sleepout event),
- Helping identify and arrange participating in events planned by other organisations (e.g. Christmas fairs or school fetes and Bromley Little Theatre charity preview nights)
- Support the planning and logistics involved with events
- Attend the events and support them on the ground
- General fundraising promotion including corporate sponsors etc
Skills and experience required
- Previous experience of fundraising or event organising (of any kind, school PTA, work events, other charities etc) would be desirable.

Role Title: Volunteer Webmaster
Key responsibilities:
- Website design
- Modify Bromley Homeless website content as required by staff.
- Administer WordPress including monitoring plugin upgrades, checking Wordfence reports and UpdraftPlus backups.
- Liaise with Bluehost in the event of problems occurring with the site hosting.
- Keep an eye on the dashboards for Google Search Console, Analytics and Ads for nonprofits.Take remedial action if any anomalies occur.
- Keep an eye on UptimeRobot reports. Take remedial action should any anomalies occur.
- Keep up to date with new trends and undertake training as required to support the above role.
Skills and Experience:
Essential
– WordPress Website design and managing updates and the health of the Website including;
– WordPress Plugins
– Elementor Page Builder
– SEO
– Managing WordPress backups
– Experience in managing Google Analytics
– knowledge of DNS records
– Hosting backend control panel
Desirable
Experience and knowledge of
– HTML coding
– CSS coding

We are not currently able to facilitate volunteering in caseworker or adviser roles within our day service.
