Our Trustees
Guiding Bromley Homeless with experience, integrity, and compassion. Our Trustees are committed to helping the charity deliver its mission to support vulnerable people experiencing homelessness across the borough of Bromley.
Mark
Mark took over as chair of Bromley Homeless in 2026. He brings extensive experience in governance, assurance and organisational leadership to the board from his senior role in the UK rail industry. A lifelong Bromley resident, Mark has seen first hand the need across the borough, including supporting a close family member facing homelessness, and is passionate about the important difference Bromley Homeless is making in people’s lives.
Sandra
My name is Sandra Taylor and I have been involved with Bromley Homeless for well over 15 years now. I started as a cook in the Winter Night Shelter and, over the years have increased my volunteering to include sleeping over, team leading and now being a trustee for the charity. I have really enjoyed meeting all of our guests and have learned so much from them. I also enjoy meeting different volunteers. I am a Senior Advisory Teacher for the London Borough of Bromley and have worked with children and young adults who have additional needs for all of my working life. In my spare time I enjoy going to the theatre, knitting, socialising with friends and one of my passions is swimming. You will find me swimming outside all year round, whatever the weather.
Ian
As an Assistant Director in social housing, Ian brings extensive expertise in managing complex new home developments and sector knowledge. While his professional role focuses on strategic housing development, he joined Bromley Homeless as a Trustee to apply his skills directly to those facing the most acute housing crises. Recognising that rough sleeping requires a specialised, compassionate response distinct from his work experience, Ian is dedicated to bridging that gap. He is committed to using his industry knowledge and professional energy to support the charity in providing any advice and assistance that he can.
Cynthia
Cynthia is a property investor and chartered accountant. She began her career at PwC before moving into senior finance roles at Bupa, where she worked in group finance and led financial planning and reporting teams. Cynthia now runs her own property investment business, building and managing a residential portfolio across London. Her work involves overseeing projects from start to finish, including finance, operations and working with a range of professionals to bring developments to life. Cynthia joined Bromley Homeless to bring her financial and commercial experience to the charity and is passionate about ensuring that everyone has access to a safe and stable home.
Angela
Angela has always lived within the Borough of Bromley and worked in local government for over 30 years. Angela spends much of her time with local social action, community projects and charities helping individuals break the cycles of homelessness and hopelessness. She enjoys nothing more than making and taking time to spend with her most loved family and friends at home. She also takes much pleasure in walking through the nearby fields and woods to just be…
Angela seeks to express her faith in very practical ways and is passionate about enabling opportunity for every individual to fulfil their potential
David
David’s career includes being employed by British Gas, Transco, National Grid, and finally the US IT company CSC. While working in the corporate sector, he always felt that losing the roof over your head has got to be the worst thing that can happen to you and your family. Once he left the corporate world in 2018, David began volunteering for Bromley Homeless.
He has since served our charity for years, starting as an Overnight Volunteer before stepping up as a Team Lead. David now uses his extensive professional background as a Trustee and the lead for all IT and governance matters.
Charlie
As the Treasurer of Bromley Homeless, Charlie plays a pivotal role in shaping the strategic and financial direction of our charity. With a deep commitment to our mission, he provides the vital oversight and governance needed to ensure that every resource we receive is used to support those experiencing homelessness in our community.
In addition, he leads the Fundraising and Income Generation Committee, which drives our fundraising strategy. Charlie is currently employed as Group Finance Director for a leading company within the UK holiday leisure market.
